im not too much into mauxuam!! i feel that some of the melodies are missing, i mean the beat structures are cool, but rather bland to me!!
i need more melodic elements !! track 6 is off the hook!!

yeah in the description it states raw tracks!!??? so are these meant more for mixing together like ableton mashups style? kinda wierd to me.

Viceversa is the debut album by Mauxuam aka Maurizio Liguori, a veteran of the global underground electronic scene. A distillation of music recorded over a 3 year period as he was traveling between continents, Viceversa is a nomadic diary with a multitude of influences. With deep roots in afrobeat and psychedelic funk while borrowing elements from dub, dub-step, breakbeat, glitch and found sounds along the way, Mauxuam offers up a groundbreaking and visionary odyssey into free range electronica.

Steeped in a philosophy of the simultaneous existence of opposites, Viceversa is a granular sound cloud of endless refractions that transcends genres altogether. Made with a number of contributing musicians including Greg Hunter (Subsurfing/Alien Soap Opera), Master Margherita (Peaking Goddess Collective), Shiranami, and Craig Musham (Organismic), it is a highly engaging album of intricate yet raw tracks that are sure to shake bass bins worldwide.

After taking a 7 year hiatus from the professional music industry Mauxuam returned to producing in 2005. He has since had tracks featured on compilations from Interchill Records (Dissolving Clouds, Sub Signals Vol. 1 and Future Memories); Indica Music (Vajra); and Electronic Soundscapes (Polymorphic Convolutions) and has performed at several top European festivals. The 2008 summer festival season finds him playing live sets at a number of events including the Glade Festival in the UK, Boom Festival in Portugal and at Electric Picnic in Ireland.

you know...you not into mauxuam...I am not too much into melodies...
but I give you the freedom to sing your favourite ones on the top of my empty tunes ;-)

Well, I for one am a big fan. I think you strike a good balance between beats and melody. The first few tracks you released, Ulezak and Sounds a Lot were brilliant! I played Sounds a Lot at a Moontribe gathering back in '06 and it got a very enthusiastic response. It sounded perfect in the desert on a hot and windy afternoon...

Looking forward to hearing your full length album! And thanks Interchill for bringing Maux to our attention. :)

yeah i was thinking that , this is perfect to jam too!! the beat structure is tight , track 4 i like too with the flutes!! vocals whatever, ill try a track out with some improv over it!! should be cool, good way to get people to be more involved with the music!!
            great for the bass!!

        I like the whole album.
I burned it to a CD so I don't have the track titles in front of me (no i didn't steal it, I got a promo download licence - in fact this is the second album I've ever downloaded! - Noah gave me some Thoughtless Music first- but anyway...) and I've been listening to it in the studio at work. i've got an acoustically balanced room with sweet genelec speakers to audition stuff, and since I work alone at night I can CRANK it up if I want at times.
        I flagged tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 as the ones i'll sneak into my next DJ sets.
in particular I'm looking forward to bumping #4's chunky psy trippiness on a beefy sound system.
My top pick is easily #7. a DubPsyStep spine tease. rock steady uber Gronk! hey did I hear some Ramayana Monkey chant in there? Music From The Morning Of The World... but I'll play this in the dark hours.
        Congrats to Mauxuam.

the new LOGM stuff is slowly taking shape. ultra slowly with Rew living in Bali. hear a sneak peak (tweak?) at our crappy myspace.com/logm page. it was an honour to work with Laraaji, his patience with our snails pace production is admirable. and with that...
        Onwards!

thanks from my heart Lexifer...really glad that you enjoying my heavy gronky beats...
btw I got some small genelec speakers myself (with sub)....even if not in an acustically neutral room...but I can't really CRANK it here...
infact I am also looking forward to play on a beefy sound system this summer.
the chants in track 7 (Ulezak) are granularized Bali fishermans...and yes........
you spot it....it's Music From The Morning Of The World....that starts at night ;-)
I like and respect LOGM music from long time...since the Silent days....
looking forward for a collaboration one day.

you should never underestimate the impact of your incredible talent ~:)))
would LOVE to see you touring Canada as SOON as possible ....

any plans to play anywhere this summer ?

please make sure to come out on California coast someday.

i love the minimal feel on after b4 on the future memories CD. i am picky and just being "minimal" doesn't get my attention, but this one sucked me in. you said the album sounds quite different... i can't wait to see how different they are.

yeah track 4 works for the dancefloor, some gronkiness for sure!! threw it down last sunday morning for the 420 spirits that morning for the full moon!!

nice one....chlorophil.....track 4 (stones of gaza) it's a powerful rebel tune.......did you sing on the top of it ? ;-)

at taro....me don't like this minimal thing so much....but yes....
the album is more minimal....tight....dry....and apparently more empty...than the tunes of compilations.
not easy listening....it may take few listenings before you start to guess what is all about.

my plans for the summer are european festivals as The Glade in UK and Boom in portugal....
...........for sure I would love to come over to california and canada.....should I start to ask for a VISA ?
it sounds that I got already few fans over there....eeeheeeh.... :-)
